5 bold predictions for the Tennessee Titans 53-man roster after the preseason

1. There are 5-6 players on other teams that will be Tennessee Titans before Week 1 kicks off.
I am going to do a projection on the players that have really earned a spot on the Titans roster over the last 12 months, but right now I think there are several positions that should be up for grabs.
Some positions are pretty stacked like tight end, linebacker, running back, and defensive back, but there are spots at EDGE and on the offensive line that stand out as replaceable or in need of an upgrade.
The market isn’t going to be flush with talent, look no further than players like Jack Doyle and Legarrette Blount for players that the Tennessee Titans have cut, only to see them thrive in other locations.
A few years ago the Titans picked up Josh Kline and got a serviceable season out of him, but this year they don’t need long-term starters just an infusion of talent along the depth chart to give them some options for this season.
Once you look at the roster critically you can see that after player 40 or so the talent level dips and you are keeping players that have to be used as part of a rotation or that you need to mask with scheme and play calling.
Mike Vrabel has said that the injury rate in the NFL is 100% and that the next man has to be ready. He is absolutely right and after what he has seen from some players on this team this preseason, he has to know that a few moves have to be made or else that next man up could sink this team.
