Last season, the Tennessee Titans finished with the seventh-best passing defense in the league. With a full year of continuity under their belt, will the Titans’ defensive backs be able to crack the top five this season?

Most conversations between Tennessee Titans fans these days usually revolves around the quarterback debate, and rightfully so. However, if the Titans are going to legitimately compete this season, it is going to start with their elite defense.

The Titans defense finished the 2018 season in the top 10 in total defense and passing defense, while finishing in the top three in scoring defense after allowing a greedy 18.9 points per game last season.

This defense remains loaded with talent at every level, especially in the secondary. The Titans’ secondary lives by the the motto “MMCNB” (My Man Catch No Balls) given to them by defensive backs coach, Kerry Coombs.

MMCNB is not just a phrase, but rather a way of life for the Titans’ DBs.

This article will give in-depth analysis on the five main members of the MMCNB, while also elaborating on what makes this group of DBs one of the most dangerous position groups in the league going into the 2019 NFL season.
