Davon Godchaux, DT

The tour of Miami’s catalog goes from a big name, to a fun name in DT Davon Godchaux.

SEC fans will remember Godchaux as the DT who had 6+ sacks in back to back years at LSU and seemed like he was poised to be a big time riser before his final season in Louisiana.

After being selected in the 5th round in 2017, Godchaux hit his stride as a run defender with the Dolphins last year and could be a nice cheap upgrade to guys like Matt Dickerson and Brent Urban who haven’t been consistent this preseason.

With interesting decisions coming up this offseason with Daquan Jones and Austin Johnson, having a cheap defensive tackle on the roster under contract for 2020 is quietly very important.

Trading for Godchaux and letting Isaiah Mack develop on the practice squad for a year could be great for the Titans long term situation at DT and with their familiarity and the lack of leverage that Miami has this move shouldn’t cost much.
