Jadeveon Clowney, EDGE

Did you know that the Tennessee Titans and Jadeveon Clowney are perfect matches for each other?

I gone into this extensively before, but just a recap:

-Clowney gets to pick where he wants to go because until he signs his franchise tag he can’t be traded.

-He isn’t going to play for the Texans this year and that relationship has soured quickly so they just want him gone.

-Mike Vrabel was his position coach and then his defensive coordinator for a year and helped him to a season of career highs.

-The Titans could use someone with heavy hands opposite Harold Landry.

There isn’t a better fit in the NFL for Clowney based on location, need, familiarity, and situation. Also, with the Indianapolis Colts being thrown back for a loop, the Titans are the only team he could go to and have an immediate understanding of the landscape and the people he would be playing against.

The only thing holding this trade back is that the Titans and Texans are obviously in the same division, but with no GM and with Bill O’Brien calling the shots maybe a shared history between he and Jon Robinson (New England) and a relationship with Vrabel will be enough.
