Winner: Jeremy McNichols

McNichols isn’t the fastest guy or the strongest guy, but he has enough of everything to earn a spot on the Tennessee Titans roster.

Right now he is competing with David Fluellen and Akeem Hunt to be the “RB3”, but honestly he has shown more than either at this point and it may be time to have the argument on whether he is the RB2 in terms of the impact he could have on this game.

He looks very comfortable on the outside zone runs, which is the staple of this offense and he is a smooth receiver. I don’t know what he doesn’t do well, but he even seems willing to play special teams after a ST tackle last night.

If he doesn’t win a job on the roster then it is because the coaching staff ignored his game film and practices in favor of someone else’s upside.

As it stands now, there are several more established players on the roster I would rather see cut or traded instead of McNichols, including basically everyone in the mix for the WR6 job.

If it makes them feel better they can call McNichols a WR/RB based on that one time he motioned to the outside, but whatever they need to do to justify it in the room he needs to be on the roster in September.
