Cornerbacks

Boundary CB1: Adoree Jackson

-For some reason Jackson is playing more than the other DBs on this list, but I am going to chalk that up to him missing time in OTAs and the Titans just really wanting to make sure he isn’t rusty.

Slot CB: Logan Ryan

-In their base nickel defense, Logan Ryan will play vs the slot and he is probably a top-5 slot corner in the NFL. If my labeling is confusing, I definitely expect Ryan to be the other boundary CB in their four DB look.

Boundary CB2/Nickel: Malcolm Butler

-On nickel downs Butler will come in and kick Ryan inside. Butler has had a fine preseason so far and I am cautiously optimistic about what he can be in this defense, though I should note that there was a lot of hype on Butler from 2018’s preseason only for him to have issues early in the season.

If Butler doesn’t continue his good play from last year then this group of DBs could be really special and the defining group on this defense.
