Tajae Sharpe and Taywan Taylor

We’re going to group these two together because both are fighting for a chance to be relevant in this offense this season. Sharpe and Taylor will get their last chance to get reps with the first-team offense in Preseason Week 3.

Sharpe has been a disappointment in the preseason and hasn’t done enough to give the Titans a reason to give him more looks in games over their second-round pick, despite looking strong in most practices.

At best, Sharpe is going to be fourth on the depth chart among the rest of the receivers, but he’ll have to stave-off Taylor and Darius Jennings if he wants to be the No. 4 receiver on this offense.

Taylor posted a total dud in the preseason opener after dropping multiple passes. He rebounded with an OK performance in Preseason Week 2 against the Pats. He caught two passes for 27 yards, however there was nothing that stood out about his performance.

Well, there was one thing: Jennings was pulled from the game earlier than Taylor, which could signify that the former third-round pick is the last man on the depth chart. Taylor must come out on fire this week if he hopes to be better than sixth in the Titans receiver pecking order.
