Drafttek

Drafttek has been a really interesting site for a few years because they break down every pick in the draft, give alternative picks that could have happened and they quantify needs for every team with a number.

It is a really analytical way of projecting a draft, so even though their mock is a few weeks old, I included it.

For some reason they spent their analysis section breaking down the Taylor Lewan suspension instead of analyzing the pick, but I can fill in the blanks for them. They choose:

Yetur Gross-Matos EDGE, Penn State

This is exactly the kind of pick I expect Tennessee Titans GM Jon Robinson to make on draft day.

With long arms, good athleticism and 20 TFLs as a true sophomore, don’t be surprised if you hear his name a lot next season. Despite his age, that 20 TFL mark was good enough for 2nd best in the Big 10 behind Kenny Willikes.

If you don’t know the names he was competing with here is a list that you should recognize:

-A.J. Epenensa (projected top-10 pick)

-Chase Winovich (3rd round steal)

-Chase Young (projected top-5 pick)

-Anthony Nelson (4th round pick)

-Dre’Mont Jones (3rd round pick)

Tell me you don’t think someone like Jon Robinson, who loves tangible production and upside, isn’t going to be excited about that resume.
