Running back: Derrick Henry

Let me say, I went into this preseason expecting to see a lot of Dion Lewis and we really haven’t.

While Lewis has flashed at times, the coaching staff has kept him under wraps to make sure that at least one of their top backs were 100% healthy for the regular season. Also, it probably helps not to show what he can’t do during the preseason so you can keep DCs guessing.

Behind him, Jeremy McNichols looks like a quality backup who can do everything well.

However, neither come close to offering the homerun threat that Henry does when he is in the backfield.

With improved blocking on the offensive line there will be a lot more chances to pop some of those big runs that have made so many highlight reels. Rodger Saffold‘s ability to get to the next level is truly outstanding and it is going to open up a lot of cutbacks that force DBs to try to track down Derrick Henry before he can build up enough speed to become unstoppable.
