Loser: 6th wide receiver battle

Going into this game, everyone was cautiously optimistic about what seemed like a very competitive battle for the WR6 spots.

The Tennessee Titans obviously are locked in to Corey Davis, Adam Humphries, A.J. Brown, and Tajae Sharpe. Darius Jennings seems like a pretty safe bet to make the roster, he played a good amount with the first and second team offenses and didn’t play after halftime.

As we saw from the way they were used, it looks like Taywan Taylor and Kalif Raymond are the co-WR6 on the roster right now. After a great week of practice from Taylor and a great game for Raymond the stage was set for someone to make their mark.

And the who made the most of that opportunity?…No one.

So, neither guy looked exceptionally good and despite the comments this morning Taywan Taylor looked confused or out of place on two of his targets. While he did make a pretty impressive catch, he was really a case of high variance (Taylor) vs underwhelming play but consistency (Raymond).

Both will get more chances, but right now I wouldn’t be too confident in either making the game day roster if they make the team.
