Winner: The should-be starting offensive line

For some reason that I don’t understand at all, the Tennessee Titans battle at right guard consists of their 8th best offensive lineman going against their 9th best lineman.

If you hear the coaching staff talking about getting the “best five guys” on the field then it should look like some combination of these names:

-Jack Conklin

Rodger Saffold

-Ben Jones

-Corey Levin

Dennis Kelly

Bonus: Taylor Lewan (suspended)

Even though I haven’t seen him play, I am going to go ahead and say that Nate Davis is no worse than 7th on this list behind the names I mentioned above.

Mike Vrabel has said that Corey Levin’s real position is center and it seems like his skills at guard will be limited to emergency situations only for some reason. The only other solution is to have Levin start at center and Jones move over to right guard.

All of the guys I listed other than Davis have been doing very well and are exceeding expectations to this point, one hiccup for Rodger Saffold aside. Jon Robinson has put the pieces in place, now it is up to Keith Carter and Mike Vrabel to make sure they get the most talent on the field.
