Loser: Nate Davis, Jamil Douglas

Winner: Kevin Pamphile

So, was this all some big April Fool’s joke by Mike Vrabel? With (blanks) bullets flying against a starting defense today it wasn’t Jamil Douglas taking snaps at RG, it was Kevin Pamphile.

Nate Davis is apparently seriously injured (or at least injured enough to miss two weeks of practice) so I’m going to say the only chance he gets to start is though injury, suspension, trade or a bye week change.

I guess the Titans were trying to judge if Douglas would be a suitable backup for the team and that is why he was running with the 1s? It would be an interesting way to find your “what if” scenarios so that no stone is left. Either way, when the chips were down he didn’t start like he had the last week or so, which is telling.

Good for Pamphile for locking down his spot, or at least convincing the coaches that he was their best option in a crucial practice.
