Tennessee Titans-New England Patriots joint practice Day 1 notes
By Will Lomas

Patriots still have Ryan Tannehill’s number
Do you see what you are making me do? Normally I wouldn’t talk too much about the backup quarterback struggling against a well coached defense in a preseason practice, but here we are.
Before I say anything, let me set the scene.
Tannehill surrenders a pick on screen pass. Tipped attempt falls to Chase Winovich.

That wouldn’t be a big deal, but it was his second pick of the day. So in limited action he got picked off twice, once because of a bad throw towards a CB and the other obviously because of a deflected pass.
Now, sure he rebounded later but you need to see the ugly side of Tannehill. Everyone is trying to tell you that he looks like Aaron Rodgers, and while he has been good he hasn’t been perfect.
These are very unofficial stats, but at least some ballpark numbers for team drills vs. #Pats:

-Mariota 9-for-13, 0 picks. There was a dropped pass and a throwaway, couple "sacks"
-Tannehill 6-11, 2 picks, at least one throwaway, one or two "sacks"
I credit a lot of people trying to bring the attention on the Titans and get them in the public eye by creating some sort of controversy to talk about, but it just doesn’t exist. Marcus Mariota is the starting QB.
