Tennessee Titans: Stock up, stock down for rookies

No Change
Jeffery Simmons
It’s hard to change your stock when you’re already injured, so that’s what we’re going with for defensive lineman, Jeffery Simmons.
The Mississippi State product has been working on a side field throughout camp, and the latest update came down the other day that he was working with Vrabel on the aforementioned side field.
Jeffery Simmons is working one-on-one with Mike Vrabel on the far field now. Vrabel has the blocking pad on. Simmons, left knee in a brace, looks good working on pass rush. Just got a “atta boy, there you go!” from the HC. https://t.co/PKpzfXU0Z3

The Tennessee Titans head coach also had praise for Simmons’ work ethic.

If any player could ever come close to sending their stock up without even fully practicing, it appears Simmons is the guy.
However, we’ll remain conservative with him for now as Simmons continues to stay on the right track in his rehab. If Simmons can return at some point this season – with December looking like a best-case scenario – the Titans could get a huge shot in the arm from the rookie.
Anthony Ratliff-Williams
Wide receiver and UDFA Anthony Ratliff-Williams was a training camp star for the Titans early on, but things have cooled considerably for him since then. In fact, fellow wideout Kalif Raymond has been stealing the show of late.
The North Carolina product saw some action in the first preseason game. Ratliff-Williams had three targets and caught two of them for eight yards.
Ratliff-Williams stock had already leveled out before Preseason Week 1, and he did nothing to change that. It would be a surprise if he can crack the 53-man roster with so much competition ahead of him. He’ll have to do big things moving forward.
