Ryan Tannehill and Taywan Taylor connection

The Tennessee Titans will enter the season with one of the best backup situations in the NFL with veteran Ryan Tannehill backing up starter Marcus Mariota.

With Taywan Taylor working with the 2nd offense for the majority of the preseason, he and Tannehill have develop a solid connection which showed up today.

The better Tannehill is during the preseason, the better. Best case he dominates in the preseason and everyone talks about how he “should have been the starter” until the season rolls around and Marcus Mariota looks great.

That way Tannehill can leave in free agency and the Titans can get a big compensatory pick.

Now, it isn’t all sunshine and rainbow with the backups. They did struggle in team drills, but it is nice to know that the second unit has chemistry to continue to watch as the preseason goes along.

Can’t wait to see what the second team looks like against the New England Patriots after a few good practices against each other in the coming week.
