Pro Football Focus released its grades for the Tennessee Titans’ Preseason opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Following their victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in the first week of the preseason, Pro Football Focus shared their top-five grades for Tennessee Titans players on both sides of the ball.

There were a lot of positives to take from that contest. The Titans offense moved the ball up and down the field with success, regardless of what personnel were in the game. On defense, the Titans limited the Eagles to just one touchdown and 10 points in total all game.

Per PFF, here were the top-graded offensive players for the Titans, led by backup quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

There was a lot of great play from this list. Both wide receiver Tanner McEvoy and tight end MyCole Pruitt scored touchdowns, while wideout Cody Hollister reeled in two nice grabs and found pay dirt, as well. He was the Titans’ second-leading receiver, with 58 yards through the air.

He got a pretty nice shout out from PFF in their strong and poor performances article that broke down players who had the best and worst showings from the preseason opener — and it was well-deserved.

Tannehill was nothing short of sharp in his preseason debut for the Titans. He completed 12-of-16 passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns. Three of his incompletions were dropped passes, two of which went through the hands of receiver Taywan Taylor.

Wide receiver Kalif Raymond also made the list. The Holy Cross product led the team in catches and receiving yards, with six grabs for 80 yards. He was a major catalyst for the Titans and helped the offense move the ball on multiple drives. Raymond was a factor in the return game as well.

We gave Raymond the Preseason Week 1 Player of the Game award for his outstanding effort.

Here were the stars on defense, per PFF.

The Titans defense was sensational in its 2019 debut. If not for blown coverage by cornerback Adoree’ Jackson, leading to a 75-yard touchdown pass for the Eagles, the Titans may not have allowed a single touchdown in the game.

Corner Tye Smith and safety Amani Hooker both led the team in tackles with four. Hooker, who is also capable of playing in the slot, saw his first action at safety in the preseason.

Defensive end Amani Bledsoe finished as the highest-graded player on defense, while outside linebacker and UDFA Derick Roberson came in fourth. The Titans will hope both players can not only make the roster, but provide some depth and give a boost off the bench in 2018.
