Tennessee Titans training camp updates.
The Tennessee Titans had their first practice since beating the Philadelphia Eagles to start the preseason.
Here are the biggest news and notes from Saturday’s practice.
Derrick Henry and A.J. Brown
In the latest update of the song that never ends, there has been no change in the status of either A.J. Brown or Derrick Henry.
I don’t think it is time to worry about either and I will keep saying that until the third week of the preseason.
However, for Brown this missed time can’t be made up. We saw on Thursday why it is so important to get chemistry with Marcus Mariota down early.
Adam Humphries was the only starting skill player on the field with Mariota and there was clear chemistry and trust there. That means he got a lot of looks and while they were always the right looks, you know that Mariota is going to trust Humphries in crunch time because of reps like that.
With just a few weeks left until the season starts, the Titans are going to be lucky if they get more than a handful of practices out of Brown. If that is the case, do you even bother putting him with the starters in those practices or do you let Tajae Sharpe get those reps to help give him better chemistry with Mariota?
