31- 36. Defensive roster bubble fights

31. Austin Johnson, DL

vs

32. Matt Dickerson, DL

The Tennessee Titans are still without Jurrell Casey and Jeffery Simmons, so without both starters there is a big hole in the middle of the defense.

Right now it is being plugged with Daquan Jones which is fine, but there is still another defensive lineman that needs to play. While the starters will be back eventually and the winner will be pushed down the depth chart he will still be on the roster which is the key.

Johnson has the better pedigree, but hasn’t been very good so far. Dickerson on the other hand has always looked good on film, but hasn’t been able to stick on the roster yet.

33. Tye Smith, CB

vs

34. LeShaun Sims, CB

I don’t think either one of these players is going to get cut, but I think one of them might get traded. The Tennessee Titans have the luxury of being deep at cornerback and that is without even thinking about Amani Hooker as a slot corner.

Tennessee Titans GM Jon Robinson is always active in the preseason and he could be trying to figure out which name he wants to shop around.

35. Kenneth Durden, DB

vs

36. Joshua Kalu, DB

Two DB/ST guys who I really like, but who probably will get pushed out due to the numbers game. However, if the Titans do make a trade like what I mentioned above then they could and should keep one of these two.
