There were some eye-opening takeaways from the Tennessee Titans’ first unofficial depth chart in 2019.

While you can’t put a ton of stock into unofficial depth charts, the Tennessee Titans’ first of 2019 did have some interesting nuggets to talk about.

Things certainly can and will change before the start of the season. Players will both step up and step back in practice and throughout the preseason, thus this depth chart is a fluid situation until Week 1.

The biggest trend to notice here is that rookies were buried at the bottom of the depth chart at each position. It’s clear head coach Mike Vrabel is giving nothing to his younger players, and that’s a great approach to keep these rookies working hard throughout the summer.

What’s more interesting to note is that some starters from the 2018 team are no longer at the top. Two examples of this are linebacker Wesley Woodyard and nose tackle Austin Johnson, both of whom are now listed as backups on defense.

Let’s take a look at those two situations, as well as the rest of the interesting takeaways from the Titans’ first unofficial depth chart.
