Tye Smith, CB

Smith feels like a big play waiting to happen and I can’t wait to watch him work on Thursday.

Before his camp injury in 2018 I really thought he had a chance to be an asset on game day if the Tennessee Titans decided not to trade him to a team that needed cornerbacks. Now, I am curious to see exactly where and how he is used.

I don’t think that Smith is going to start for the Tennessee Titans in an ideal situation, but there are a lot of teams out there with worse 3rd or 4th CBs on their roster. Smith can earn a spot on a roster on Thursday with the only question being, which roster will it be?

With teams desperate for depth in the secondary, Tye Smith could be a blessing if Titans GM Jon Robinson sticks to his strategy of making trades in the preseason to get the best talent he can on the roster.
