Matt Dickerson, DL

Matt Dickerson is a guy that I think Mike Vrabel and company wanted to keep last year, but couldn’t make the numbers work out.

With the shine wearing off of Austin Johnson and with Jurrell Casey and Jeffery Simmons both set to miss preseason (and then some for Jeffery), Dickerson will get a lot of reps to prove himself in Week 1 of the preseason.

While the depth at OT for the Philadelphia Eagles is outstanding, the interior depth isn’t perfect. If Matt Dickerson could make some plays against both it would be great, but winning against the 2s will be key for him.

Dickerson was never a huge part of the defense when he was in college in terms of making big plays, but he has a great frame and solid weight. He could be the 1-tech that the Titans are looking for, and even if he is just a depth piece that would be a big help to this defensive line.
