ESPN says Tennessee Titans have six units that rank top-11 in the NFL

Biggest snub: Safeties (13th)
Um…excuse me? There are 12 safety combinations in the NFL better than what the Tennessee Titans have?
Just a reminder, the Tennessee Titans starting safeties are Kevin Byard (best safety in the NFL) and Kenny Vaccaro who was a great fit in the defense last year.
Go and check out the list of players above the Tennessee Titans on that list, but let me just show you what Clay said about his 3rd ranked team:
"3. Chicago Bears: Speaking of home run middle-round draft picks, Eddie Jackson has been a star since Chicago snagged him in the fourth round back in 2017. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is on his third team in less than a year, but he is a serviceable replacement for Adrian Amos. Deon Bush has held his own as a third safety."
So, wait. Eddie Jackson is good, but he definitely isn’t better than Kevin Byard and can’t do as much as Byard can so we know that the Titans get the nod in that heads up battle.
HHCD is fine, but like Clay said he is on his third team in a year…do we really think he is better than Kenny Vaccaro? If so you are going to have to be very clear and tell me how and why.
Finally, if we are talking third safeties the Titans have Amani Hooker and Dane Cruikshank behind the dynamic duo.
I really respect Clay, so I guess what he is thinking is that you need three safeties in the NFL or at least you need the ability to have someone come in and give you snaps if you want that look.
So, since the Titans have two guys who haven’t really played any defensive snaps in the NFL he couldn’t grade them? That is me doing a lot of work for Clay, but if that isn’t it then I am really curious how he has teams like the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals ranked ahead of Tennessee.
