Cornerbacks: 8th

It is the year 2019 and someone has finally shown respect to the Tennessee Titans tight ends and cornerbacks in an ESPN article. Could we possibly be on the verge of seeing them not mocked either of those positions in the first round of 2020 NFL Mock Drafts!?

Seriously though, this is a pretty generous rating but I think it is just very hard to have three quality corners in NFL right now. They are so expensive and the hit rate is so small in the draft that it is hard to find ways to get three on your team.

The Tennessee Titans have that in Adoree Jackson, Logan Ryan and Malcolm Butler.

If Jackson continues to take steps forward I think he can be a true “shadow” cornerback who helps slow down or eliminate some of the better WRs in the NFL (see the New England Patriots game).

Ryan has already proven time and time again that he is a very good CB2 on the boundary and a top-5 slot cornerback when moved inside.

Butler is hit or miss, but when he is hot he can really do some exciting things. When he settled down in the back half of the season last year he looked like what fans thought they were getting when the Tennessee Titans signed him in free agency: a playmaker.
