Loser: Ryan Tannehill

I say “loser” but this is more just of a “neutral” judgement.

I never thought that Tannehill was a guy who was going to start the season for the Tennessee Titans if Marcus Mariota was healthy. I need to get that clear now.

However, I really did think that he would be a really fun player to watch during the preseason and someone who could feast on second team defenses and look like a starting caliber QB.

Right now I just don’t get that vibe from him and it sounds like he was lucky to come away from his first two drives with any points at all after a near interception.

Working on a unit with Delanie Walker against a mixed defense and working with Taywan Taylor and Anthony Firkser in practice, it just seems like there should be more buzz coming from him. At least based off of the standard I had imagined for him.

He did end up balancing out his performance late with a touchdown pass to Darius Jennings, so we will see how his preseason goes but I am hoping that my initial thoughts on him were right.
