Winner: Marcus Mariota

When Marcus Mariota was protected and in rhythm, all reports say he was outstanding. Look no further than the first drive where he dominated:

While his numbers weren’t perfect at the end, a lot of that had to do with the rain affecting sure-handed tight end Anthony Firkser which resulted in not one, but two dropped touchdowns. Insane.

Without Delanie Walker (other team), Corey Davis (resting), Jack Conklin (resting), A.J. Brown (hurt), and Derrick Henry (hurt), Marcus Mariota was missing at least 5 of his starting 10 offensive players that normally surround him and probably more than that.

Despite that and despite playing against Kevin Byard, Rashaan Evans and Sharif Finch (who had a great night) he was great. This is the night you wanted to see from Mariota despite the numbers looking less than impressive at the end of the night.
