Clint Stoerner’s lazy Mariota take

I had to look up who Cox Sports TV’s Clint Stoerner was after seeing his hilariously bad take on not just the Tennessee Titans, but several teams around the NFL after he “analyzed” the Houston Texans’ schedule.

The lesson that was learned here? Never try to break down a team’s entire schedule in one tweet. It can’t be done with any kind of respectability, which is especially important when, you know, that’s your job.

The former failed quarterback who had a mediocre college career and a short, unsuccessful stint with the Dallas Cowboys, said that Mariota “scares no one,” and he used that to denigrate the Titans as an opponent overall.

Now, we’re not saying teams are exactly shaking in their boots with the prospect of facing the Oregon product, however Stoerner did say this in relation to facing the Texans.

Apparently Clint forgot that Mariota torched the Texans’ defense in Week 12 to the tune of 303 yards and two touchdowns to no picks, completing 22 of 23 passes in the process. Mariota’s QB rating in that game was an astronomical 147.7 in a losing effort.

Hell, the Titans beat the Texans in Week 2 with Blaine Gabbert behind center. It seems the Texans should be scared of every quarterback, thanks to what has been a historically lackluster secondary.

Clint didn’t like it, but we called out his lazy analysis and his failed quarterback career. He’s apparently not a good analyst, either, or else he would have actually taken the time to type up his schedule breakdown instead of trying to do so in 280 characters or less.
