Corey Davis exits early

So here is the one everyone is concerned about. Corey Davis left practice early, but before everyone freaks out let’s look at the context.

To me, this sounds almost exactly like what happened to Jack Conklin the other day. They let him start practice and do what he wanted to do and then later he was pulled.

If I had to guess what that means, I would guess that some 3rd/4th year players are given days where they can opt out if they want to because of the heat, the effort they have displayed in other practices, injuries, etc.

However, if you want to get out there and practice you can, but you are going to get pulled either very early in team drills or before team to make sure that you are healthy for your next practice.

Until we learn something else, I am going to attribute this to the heat and the fact that he has worked so hard over the past few practices that the Tennessee Titans didn’t want to wear him out any more than they needed to with the first week of the preseason just a week away.
