Tennessee Titans wide receiver, Corey Davis.
NASHVILLE, TN- SEPTEMBER 10: Wide receiver Corey Davis /

What’s the verdict?

The Tennessee Titans’ best bet as a fantasy football wide receiver in 2019 will be Davis. Aside from having less attention on the outside, he has the best chemistry with Mariota of any wideout currently on the roster.

Furthermore, he’ll greatly benefit from having a healthy Mariota for 16 games. Just think, if he can put up the numbers he did last season with Gabbert throwing him the rock and no good receivers to take pressure off, what can he do with a superior quarterback and less attention from defenses?

Again, we love the addition of Humphries to the Titans’ roster, but he has perhaps Mariota’s most-trusted target in Walker running routes over the middle. It’s hard to reason he can truly match or surpass his production from a season ago.

Not to mention, Davis has better big-play ability in his back pocket, and his 6-foot-3 frame makes him a more ideal target near the end zone. Once he reels in a higher percentage of his targets, Davis can make the most of what could be less overall opportunities this season.

Humphries should still be a target for fantasy owners looking for depth at wide receiver; although he shouldn’t be the first Titans receiver off the board.

That distinction goes to Davis, who gets the nod over Humphries if fantasy owners are sitting there looking at both when their pick comes up.

Now that we’ve made our decision on this matter, there’s one more thing to take care of: who is the wide receiver handcuff you want if either of these players end up on your roster?
