Here are all the latest news and notes from the Tennessee Titans’ second day at practice in training camp.
Day two of the Tennessee Titans’ training camp practices took place on Saturday and was the first that was open to fans. You can check out the full list of open practices here.
Before practice began, Jim Wyatt of Titans Online reported that the Titans signed defensive back Jonathan Crawford to the 90-man roster. Crawford was an undrafted free agent originally signed by Tennessee, but he was later released. The Titans have decided to bring him back.
Now on to the rest of what happened on day two.
Jack Conklin leaves practice early, Walker a bit banged up
Tennessee Titans right tackle Jack Conklin had his day cut short, and tight end Delanie Walker continues to look good, although he did get a bit banged up. He finished the day doing light drills.
Titans update: Conklin warmed up, but left field soon afterward. Walker had awkward fall. Stayed on field, but just light drills afterward. PUP guys Casey, J Smith were working on side field.

Marcus Mariota found Delanie Walker in tight coverage but fit the ball in there. Nice grab by Walker. He got up and walked gingerly but jogged it off.

Austin Pasztor filled in for Conklin during 11 on 11’s, and Jamil Douglas was once again at left guard.
First 11on 11 and and Austin Pasztor is at RT for Jack Conklin. Dennis Kelly at LT and Jamil Douglas at LG for Rodger Saffold

After practice, Mike Vrabel said he expects Conklin to be back out there on Sunday.
Mike Vrabel didn't say much about Jack Conklin. Said there's a plan for each guy that is close when it comes to practice. Said he'd expect Conklin to practice tomorrow but we'll see.

"Everybody has a menu. There's an injury report that I look at."
No word yet on what happened to Conklin, but precaution is king during training camp. Wide receiver Cameron Batson limped off at one point, but he returned shortly thereafter.
No A.J. Brown or Derrick Henry
Neither A.J. Brown nor Derrick Henry were on the practice field this morning for the Tennessee Titans.
No sign of A. J. Brown as #Titans get ready to start practice. Derrick Henry isn't out here either.
— TURRON DAVENPORT (@TDavenport_NFL) July 27, 2019
While Brown wasn’t at the full practice, he did do some work with Corey Davis after. That is certainly a good sign.
AJ Brown is out post-practice working jugs with Corey Davis #Titans

Vrabel had no update on Henry.
No update on Derrick Henry, Vrabel said. @Titans
— Jim Wyatt (@jwyattsports) July 27, 2019
We’re still awaiting further updates on both. On Friday, head coach Mike Vrabel said Brown and Henry were day-to-day. It was expected both would miss practice today since there is simply no reason to rush either back out there this early in the process.
Marcus Mariota making progress?
An area for improvement with Mariota has been recognizing blitzes and making checks accordingly. Used the hard count to get defense to show it. Moved the RB to the right side and hit Taywan Taylor on a quick route. That's good progress. #Titans

Adam Humphries is lookin’ good
Wide receiver Adam Humphries was looking sharp on day two.

Expect to see a lot of this from the slot by Adam Humphries. Not sure there will be enough time to run this kind of route, but nevertheless he's a tough cover. #Titans pic.twitter.com/mvHKEHwoEO
— TURRON DAVENPORT (@TDavenport_NFL) July 27, 2019
There is a lot to be excited about with Humphries, as he’s a talented receiver and the best slot man quarterback Marcus Mariota has ever had. He should easily help improve Mariota’s career passer rating to the slot in 2019.
Jeffery Simmons, Jonnu Smith, Jurrell Casey working on the side
No surprise here, as defensive linemen Jeffery Simmons and Jurrell Casey were working on the side field, along with tight end Jonnu Smith, for the second day in a row.
Simmons added a brace prior to beginning more intense movement. pic.twitter.com/sC9Z1SCq21

Neither Simmons nor Casey had a brace on their knee at first, but Simmons later added one when he began to do more intense things.
Ryan Succop should be ready for start of season
Vrabel said he expects Ryan Succop to ready for regular season (he’s currently on PUP). In the meantime he wants to see what K/P Austin Barnard can do @Titans

Tajae Sharpe with the catch of the day?
Wide receiver Tajae Sharpe reeled this bad boy in over cornerback Malcolm Butler.

Anthony Ratliff-Williams had himself a day
Wide receiver Anthony Ratliff-Williams turned some heads on Saturday.

— Terry McCormick (@terrymc13) July 27, 2019
Anthony Ratliff-Williams is having a nice day. Just caught a fade in the corner of the end zone. Went up and snatched it. Kenneth Durden was in coverage. Logan Woodside was the QB. #Titans

Humphries, Jackson and Batson for PR?
I’ve seen Cameron Batson and Adam Humphries at that spot, so far. https://t.co/slUmuyY0Yb
— Luke Worsham (@luke_worsham) July 27, 2019
Vrabel later added Jackson to the mix, despite the earlier report.
@Titans coach Mike Vrabel said team will take a look at its options at punt returner. Mentioned Adoree' Jackson. Said punt return game "is close," but
— Terry McCormick (@terrymc13) July 27, 2019
"there is some meat on the bone. I think we can get a little bit more out of that phase."

- Complete to Kalif Raymond for a TD

We’ll update this page once we have more information on Conklin and Walker.
