Shelton Gibson, WR

The Philadelphia Eagles have no shortage of WRs on their roster and surprisingly the Tennessee Titans have a log jam at that position too after years of struggling to find starters or depth.

The thing that makes Gibson interesting for Titans fans but expendable for Eagles fans is that he is a speed receiver.

For the Eagles, DeSean Jackson is finally home and will be huge for them this year in the vertical passing game. Jackson was acquired this past offseason, so he may take away any chance that Gibson had to see the field.

Gibson didn’t test fast, but he was very explosive downfield at West Virginia and narrowly missed Jon Robinson’s threshold for receivers that have back to back 1,000 yard seasons (160 yards off).

If the Eagles don’t really have a way for him to be active on gameday (Mack Hollins will be their special teams WR) then why not do another late round pick swap or something to get anything for a guy that you are just going to have to cut.

The Titans get an explosive guy on their roster to potentially push Taywan Taylor and Tajae Sharpe for the fourth WR spot or maybe push Darius Jennings for the fifth WR/ST spot.
