Tennessee Titans: Mike Vrabel’s wife responds to ‘cut off d—‘ story
Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel’s wife, Jen, has responded to the “cut off d—” story.
After Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel jokingly said he would cut off his male appendage for a Super Bowl ring, it begged the question: was his wife, Jen, mad at him for it?
Vrabel said it on the Bussin’ with the Boys podcast, with hosts left tackle Taylor Lewan and former Titans linebacker, Will Compton. Of course, Vrabel was having some fun, but it did set off quite a bit of media attention.
While talking about it, Vrabel actually said his wife would offer to help. It appears the Titans head coach knows his wife well.
Here’s what Jen Vrabel had to say, in response to a poll posted on Twitter by the Dan Le Batard Show:
Now that’s a supportive wife.
Not that it was that difficult to do, but it’s good to see she has the right sense of humor to handle what has turned into a ridiculous situation. As if we couldn’t like Jen Vrabel any more.
Vrabel’s response, which was carried by countless media outlets, was done mostly without the context of where he was and the type of fun podcast Bussin’ with the Boys is.
Vrabel pretty much set the media up, and they took the bait. We broke that all down here.
It seems Vrabel has now raised the bar for doing whatever it takes to win a Super Bowl ring. We can only hope the media will ask the head coaches in their respective markets if they would do the same.
It’s not often an NFL head coach will let his guard down and let it rip the way Vrabel did, and it’s certainly a refreshing thing to see him have some fun with Lewan and Compton.
Especially considering Vrabel comes from the tutelage of the always super serious New England Patriots head coach, Bill Belichick.
I hope the Titans players are ready to run through a wall for Vrabel and a Super Bowl, because clearly it’s the least they could offer to do.
