The battle for Nashville rages on between the Tennessee Titans and the Predators.

I didn’t think this was an argument I was going to have to deal with in July, but the Tennessee Titans are clearly closer than the Nashville Predators when it comes to who will win a title first.

This all comes from an article in The Athletic from John Glennon, where he chose the Predators to win a title before the Titans.

Let me start this off by saying, I have watched the Nashville Predators for going on five years now and I have spent a lot longer watching the Tennessee Titans. I think in that time I have gotten a pretty good handle on exactly who the Preds are and what they can do.

So when I saw that Glennon said the Predators were closer to a title, I didn’t agree but then when I saw the article I was baffled.

Glennon grades 10 categories on a 1-10 scale. By the end of the article the Titans had lost every single category and ended up down 71-54 without winning a single category.

Now, Glennon is outstanding in his coverage and I am not going to say that he doesn’t know what he is talking about. He absolutely does and he is a must read when looking for Titans or Preds information.

So, when I disagree with some of his opinions know that unlike when I talk about some people’s “analysis”, know that this comes from a place of respect.

Also, the Predators are great and hopefully this ends in a tie after next season with both teams winning their first championship. If you are interested at all in Preds hockey go check out Predlines who we love even if they did us dirty.

These are the categories from that article that I would give to the Titans over the Predators.
