Breakout players pt. 2:

Kenny Vaccaro

"“I think he stayed in Nashville for a reason and that is because he is a perfect fit for this defense. He is going to be able to roam and do a lot of damage… I think he is going to have another year and he is going to be comfortable in this defense and maybe even looking at a Pro Bowl season.”"

-This is interesting because with all of the options on this team, Kenny Vaccaro is not the first name that jumps out to me as a breakout player. When you look at his reasoning it does make a lot of sense though.

Dean Pees and Kerry Coombs know exactly what Vaccaro is and how best to use him now and the chemistry and communication that he and Kevin Byard have is outstanding. Quick reminder that the Titans started the season out 3-1 until Vaccaro got hurt and the team went 0-3 losing two games by a combined two points.

Rashaan Evans

"“This guy has a ton of talent to be a three-down linebacker, especially working under Mike Vrabel and this defense."

-Evans was stellar in the second half of the season and he did it without playing a lot of snaps. It was harder to get on the field with a burgeoning superstar in Jayon Brown ahead of him and with the veteran (and leader in tackles) Wesley Woodyard being able to do it all.

However, Evans showed a great ability to sift through blockers and make big tackles against tough runners. The crazy thing is, that isn’t even his best trait.

The former Alabama EDGE has one of the best spin moves I have seen in a college prospect and rarely got to show it in 2018. However, rumors and reading the tea leaves makes it sound like Evans will get his chance to show what he can do rushing the passer pretty frequently this season, only adding to his potential to break out.
