Former Tennessee Titans defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth is in dire need of a kidney.

Former Tennessee Titans defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth shared some troublesome news on his Instagram: his kidney has failed and he is in desperate need of a kidney transplant.

Haynesworth shared a photo of himself in a hospital bed at Williamson Medical Center and it does not look good.

Here is the message he posted on Instagram, along with the photo:

Here is more information on how to donate.

Haynesworth has been battling kidney disease for years now, but that is not all this former NFL player has been dealing with. He also suffered a brain aneurism three years after retiring from the league, as he stated in his Instagram message.

Obviously this is a sad situation and we hope Haynesworth gets the kidney he needs. We wish him and his family all the best in this terrible ordeal. If there is someone out there willing to donate, we hope they decide to do so.

Haynesworth was drafted by the Titans in the first round (No. 15 overall) of the 2002 NFL Draft and played in Tennessee for seven seasons, emerging as one of the elite defensive lineman in the game during his tenure.

In 90 games (74 starts), he totaled 274 combined tackles, 24 sacks, 60 tackles for loss and 42 QB Hits for the Titans. He was a first-team All Pro and was selected to a Pro Bowl in both 2007 and 2008.

Haynesworth moved on from the Titans after the 2008 season, signing a huge seven-year, $100 million deal with the Washington Redskins in 2009. He also spent time with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the end of his career.

Again, we wish he and his family the best in this truly frightening ordeal.
