Is Tennessee Titans safety Kevin Byard worth his next contract?

Final Verdict
If you aren’t convinced that Kevin Byard deserves that contract by now, you just probably aren’t going to be convinced.
The Tennessee Titans have a “local” player who is developing into the best safety in the NFL right in front of our eyes, and that is if he isn’t already there.
I’m not quite saying the Tennessee Titans should just hand him a blank check, but I have seen franchises spend a lot of money to bring in players from other teams who just absolutely weren’t worth it and who bombed.
Why would you save money and potentially do that when you have a homegrown player who already has great chemistry with his teammates, right in front of you.
Byard has to be priority number one for the Titans and if it came down to it, I even think that Byard could get the franchise tag over Marcus Mariota.
I don’t think it will come down to that, but how can you let a player like Byard walk when he has done so much in this league already and hasn’t even turned 26 yet.
So the final verdict from me is pay that man his money (mega Teddy KGB voice) and go ahead and slap a “C” on his chest and make him a captain.
