4. Jason McCourty

How is it possible that Jason McCourty went to the Pro Bowl with the Tennessee Titans? His groin injury in 2015 really hampered what could have been a five or six year run as one of the better cornerbacks in the league, just as he was finally getting some recognition.

If you take out 2015, this was his average statline from 2012 to 2016: 83 tackles, 2 INTs, 12 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble.

That is a solid year for a cornerback, but to do that over a five seasons and to do it with different coordinators, is very impressive.

The Titans have always had at least one good defensive back whether that was Blaine BIshop, Andre Dyson, Samari Rolle, Pac Man Jones, Cortland Finnegan, Michael Griffin, Chris Hope, etc.

For a long time it was McCourty manning the fort himself, until the Titans finally found their next great DB in Kevin Byard in 2016.

I think all fans are glad that he won a Super Bowl last year, and if it couldn’t be with the Tennessee Titans at least we didn’t have to see another Rams win.
