Julian Okwara EDGE, Notre Dame

Raekwon Davis is an extremely talented player who the Tennessee Titans would be lucky to have in a vacuum. However, defensive tackle isn’t a huge position of need and the possibility of being drafted by GM Jon Robinson rests more on his great production and high end potential than a need.

That is different with Okwara who plays EDGE for Notre Dame.

The senior EDGE is going to get a great chance to prove himself this year. He gets to face Walker Little of Stanford and Andrew Thomas of Georgia, both of them are top-10 picks according to Dane Brugler.

With the easy schedule Notre Dame always plays, Okwara will get a chance to show off in a bowl game against a high quality opponent to leave a good impression in the minds of scouts. After that he will probably headline the Senior Bowl and really start picking up buzz as he showcases his talents.

With all that behind him he will certainly be a riser by the time we get to October and November, so go ahead and get on that train early so that you can look really smart later.
