1. Derrick Henry

Age: 25

ADP: 3.09 (33 Overall) or RB16

My Ranking: RB16

Derrick Henry had a monster finish to the 2018 season. For many, he was a league winner, and immediate dynasty trade target. Sure, it’s a known fact that his fantasy value was weighted—see: the decimation of the Jacksonville Jaguars—but I believe he’s got the talent to sustain long-term success in the NFL.

I’m not the only one. Look at the company Henry is in according to Pro Football Focus.

Through 15 weeks, Henry had only eight games averaging 4.0+ YPC, and still received a higher grade than backs like Melvin Gordon III and Saquon Barkley. Can he keep the train moving in 2019?

Toss-Up

Derrick Henry should be a reliable RB2 for the next two to three years, and I wouldn’t look much further. The career of an NFL RB can be volatile, and in dynasty formats, I hesitate to look too far ahead.

Will they finally feed him? Henry’s ceiling is incredibly high if they give him 15-plus touches a game. Through the last eight games of 2018, Henry averaged 16 touches, 94 yards per game (5.8 YPC), and ranked as the RB4 with 147.8 fantasy points.

With new additions to bolster the offensive line in left guard Rodger Saffold and potential starter at right guard, Nate Davis, Henry could run wild. It’s possible that he could be closer to 1,400 yards and 13 TDs, but the risk is definite. The following is more likely:

2019 Projection: 1,136 YDS, 10 RUSH TD, 15 REC, 145.5 YDS, 1 TD

Fantasy Points: 202 (Good for 2018 RB13)

Draft: Fourth-Fifth Round
