Interior defensive line: 4+1 (30 Total)

Sure things: Jurrell Casey, Austin Johnson, Daquan Jones, Jeffery Simmons (PUP)

Numbers favor: Brent Urban

Jurrell Casey led the Tennessee Titans in sacks and has been the captain of the defense for year. Similarly to Delanie Walker, all I really need to do is write his name down in ink.

Austin Johnson is lock into his rookie deal, so he is definitely making the roster barring a trade. While there is no cap crunch this year, I imagine the Titans are thankful to get rid of that contract and are glad they can move on.

Jones is coming off of an injury in 2017 that took away his most productive season before it was done. He struggled last year and has an out in his contract in 2020, so while he is safe for this year he needs to play well to avoid hitting free agency earlier than expected.

Jeffery Simmons will start this season on PUP after tearing his ACL in February, but when he comes back he should be ready to make an impact and help transform this defensive line.

Brent Urban was brought in for his massive size and his familiarity with Dean Pees and I have no problem with that. It never hurts to have physical specimens on your team and it is hard for opposing offenses to get ready for that since who could they practice against with similar size? Two equipment managers in a trench coat?

This is a position that you could see a lot of churning at, especially with a guy like Matt Dickerson as a potential add if the Titans need the depth.
