Offensive tackle: 4 (Total 20)

Sure things: Taylor Lewan, Jack Conklin, Dennis Kelly

Numbers favor: Tyler Marz

Taylor Lewan is one of the best young starting left tackles in the NFL and he has the paycheck to back that up.

The big question is what will happen on the right side of the offensive line. For all the talk of his demise, it has only been a year since we saw Jack Conklin play right tackle at a really high level for 24 straight months.

While the Tennessee Titans did decline to pick up his 5th year option, a lot of that is because they couldn’t take that huge guaranteed number when they were in such a cap crunch. That doesn’t mean that they aren’t interested in a deal, but it has certainly made fans feel that way.

Part of the reason why fans were so quick to accept this is because he backup has been great when given the chance. I have no doubt in my mind that Dennis Kelly would start for nearly any other team in the NFL and they would be lucky to have him.

Kelly is a guy who can play right or left tackle and he can easily line up inside or as a jumbo tight end, he really is a rare player that can fill all of the needs on an offensive line except for center. It is going to be hard to see him go in free agency next year, but unless the Titans are prepared to make him the starter at right tackle or right guard then he is going to have a better opportunity elsewhere.

Tyler Marz will have been on the Tennessee Titans roster for four years if he makes the opening roster and that is one of the more shocking things I can remember writing recently. Every coaching staff seems to like him enough to keep him and he obviously gets along well enough with everyone to keep everything good chemistry-wise.

This group of OTs have been together since Jack Conklin was drafted and I don’t see any reason for that to change now.
