Cornerback: 5 (46 Total)

Sure things: Adoree Jackson (ST), Malcolm Butler, Logan Ryan

Numbers favor: LeShaun Sims, Tye Smith (ST)

The Tennessee Titans have one of the best groups of DBs in the NFL, and a lot of that is thanks to the depth at cornerback.

Adoree Jackson is one of the least talked about up and coming corners in the NFL, often getting overshadowed by the like of Marcus Lattimore and Tre White. However, he is a pass break up machine and he is a force in the running game as well.

If he can just continue turning those pass break ups into interceptions, he will one of the few CBs in the NFL who can truly contribute in every phase.

Malcolm Butler is finally in the perfect situation. He seemed to really calm down and play his best football in the second half of last year, but he couldn’t completely erase the opinions that fans and media had already made about him.

If he can come out and play that well to start the 2019 NFL season, suddenly you will hear cries of “Comeback Player of the Year”. That may sound crazy now, but if he has six or solid solid games to start the season, go ahead and look at what his last 16 games look like with the Tennessee Titans and tell me I’m wrong.

Logan Ryan is going to be hard to keep after this year and whether Titans fans know it or not, that is a real issue. Very few CBs in the league can cover inside and outside as well as Ryan and that isn’t even taking into account his ability as a pass rusher.

Ryan is the unsung hero of the Tennessee Titans defense and he could still have another big contract in his future, but for now you should see him as the talent that he is.

Behind those three is LeShaun Sims and Tye Smith. Depending on the situation, you could make an argument that both could see time on a weekly basis. Sims does a better job handling physical receivers while Smith seems to do more against receivers with better burst.

I think there is a good chance that both of those names are mentioned as possible trade candidates as the regular season approaches.
