5. Arthur Smith takes over as Titans OC

When Matt LaFleur was offered and accepted the head coaching job in Green Bay, most Tennessee Titans fans had to relive the many times an offensive coordinator has either left for another job, or been let go from their duties in the past couple of years.

It became a “here we go again” type impression when news broke. However, instead of going out and getting a big name guy like Josh McDaniels from New England, Tennessee decided to promote from within when TE coach Arthur Smith was named as the new offensive coordinator.

As a Titans fan, it’s become all too familiar with coaches leaving or being let go as quick as they are coming into the organization. However, in Arthur Smith’s case, not only has he been with the organization since 2011, he is one of the rare cases to be retained through four different head coaches.

In his interview with Taylor Lewan and Will Compton on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast (a podcast well worth listening to by any and all Titans fans), Arthur Smith discusses how he went about interviewing for the spot as well as his duties within the organization since being there.

As someone whose father is the founder of FedEx, and who’s sister is a big time producer in Hollywood, Arthur is one of the most humble human beings and someone who the players can’t wait to play under.
