Most overrated: Dion Lewis #118 overall, RB44

Recent stat, 2018: 517 rush yards, 1 TD, 59 receptions, 400 yards, 1 rec. TD

Lewis has a chance for a solid season, but honestly I think long-term the Tennessee Titans are looking elsewhere. While fantasy football is a short-term game, the rotation at RB2 this year is something that I am really curious to see.

David Fluellen has been getting plenty of reps at fullback in OTAs. That may not seem really important, but consider that Luke Stocker was back there last year for Tennessee. This seems like a shift in mentality at FB going from someone who can be a mobile blocker, to someone who can catch and carry the ball out of the backfield.

In Jim Wyatt’s mailbag from yesterday, he talked about a Titans running back that 99% of NFL fans don’t even know:

"“And while David Fluellen has been working at fullback, back Jeremy McNichols has been pretty active, too.”"

McNichols was a 5th round pick two years ago, but has bounced around the NFL since then. Dane Brugler was actually pretty high on him and had him graded as a 4th round pick saying:

"“A two-year starter at Boise State, McNichols took the baton from Ajayi in 2015 and has been one of the most productive offensive weapons in college football with more all-purpose touchdowns (53) the past two seasons than any other FBS player. He is a tough-minded runner with the ability to maximize every play, showing a workhorse mentality in college – one of only three FBS players with 350+ offensive touches in 2016.”"

He seems to be a sleeper that no one is talking about, but it looks like he could definitely be a guy to watch during the preseason.

Finally, UDFA Alex Barnes has the athleticism to make it in the NFL and a decent amount of college production to support his case. Without pads he hasn’t made a splash yet, but with his physical style of running and his ability to catch passes there is a good chance that the Titans may keep him on the roster.

There will be a healthy competition for snaps all season long and with Derrick Henry showing that he needed more touches last year, I can almost guarantee that Lewis will see his volume reduced in 2019 through no fault of his own.
