TE1: Delanie Walker (2015)

Stats: 94 receptions, 1,088 receiving yards, 6 TDs, 36 yards rushing

Total points: 240.8

I meant what I said in the lead in to this selection, the Tennessee Titans history at tight end has been outstanding. You have Delanie Walker, Jared Cook and Frank Wycheck were some of the best tight ends of their times even if Cook was never used correctly in Tennessee.

Guys like Bo Scaife and Craig Stevens were also very solid players that helped the team in ways that don’t always show up on the stat sheets.

However, I knew in a pure fantasy football world there wasn’t a choice of who I was going to pick, but rather which year was Delanie Walker’s best year.

Then I remembered that Walker actually had a 1,000+ yard receiving year with the Tennessee Titans back in 2015 as he was firmly establishing himself as the team’s best weapon.

On the field and off the field Walker is a leader and someone who has made the Titans a better football team, so it is only fitting that he is the standout player here for TE1. The only question for me going forward is if Arthur Smith can find a way to make Walker shine for a few more years given exactly how familiar he is with 82 after their six years together in Tennessee.
