WR2: Drew Bennett (2004)

Stats: 80 receptions, 1,247 rec. yards, 11 TDs, 12 rush yards, 26 passing yards, 1 passing TD

Total points: 277.9

I’m not quite sure what name I expected to see here, but I don’t think many people expected Drew Bennett to be the WR2 in franchise history. Maybe that is an age thing or maybe it is hard to remember just how good that season was for Bennett, but I had to really check my math on this one.

The UDFA from UCLA made a name for himself with the Tennessee Titans in coming out of virtually nowhere to dominate the 2004 season. Not only did he end up more than doubling his former highs in receptions, yards and TDs but he threw a touchdown as well.

Sometimes seasons stick out where a guy just has supreme confidence in his abilities and can do no wrong. Well for Bennett that came in 2004 when he competed at an All-Pro level even if he was snubbed by not only the All-Pro voters but the Pro Bowl votes as well.

The 6’5 receiver stands out as the most curious player on this list and one that leaves you impressed, but scratching your head just a little bit.
