Bleacher Report’s Maurice Moton compiled a list of the best offseason move of every NFL team and drafting A.J. Brown the choice for the Tennessee Titans.

General manager Jon Robinson made a slew of great moves this offseason to help bolster an already impressive Tennessee Titans roster, but was drafting wide receiver A.J. Brown really his best?

That’s debatable for sure.

Brown was drafted in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft after a monster year with Ole Miss that saw him total 85 receptions for 1,320 yards and six touchdowns. To say there is upside for a receiver who had a year like that would be an understatement.

However, as we’ve seen in the past all over the league, rookie receivers can get off to slow starts and sometimes take a year or two to really blossom. If Brown is going to be the no-brainer best move of this offseason, it might take some time to come to fruition.

Here’s what Bleacher Report’s Maurice Moton had to say about the move to draft Brown.

"The Titans added two notable wideouts to the roster, four-year veteran Adam Humphries and rookie second-rounder A.J. Brown. While the former projects as a high-end slot receiver, the latter offers versatility and a potential wow factor.Brown led Ole Miss in receiving yards and touchdowns over the last two terms. He can line up in the slot or on the perimeter, ran a 4.49-second 40-yard dash at the combine and possesses the strength to fight off physical defenders downfield."

All of what Moton says is absolutely true and the Titans could have a future star on their hands when you look at all that Brown can do.

The 21-year-old will be a nightmare to deal with, whether it be on a short catch-and-run or deep down the field. He has the ability to terrorize opposing defenses all over the field and gives quarterback Marcus Mariota yet another weapon to help take his game to the next level.

But will all of this be realized right away or will it take time?

Chances are it will take at least some time, especially considering the amount of competition he will have for targets in what has become a rather deep pass-catching unit when you include the tight ends.

If Brown can develop into a star receiver at some point down the road, then yes, he will have been this offseason’s best move. As of right now, a better bet would have been a signing that is sure to make an immediate impact in 2019, like left guard Rodger Saffold.

While Brown could certainly be just that kind of player right away, there is nothing sure about it.
