Question 1: Who is going to start at EDGE for the Tennessee Titans?

Current answer: Harold Landry and Sharif Finch

The Tennessee Titans are solid on the EDGE right now. Harold Landry is a very talented player who can play the run and pass equally well and has trump cards as a pass rusher.

A concern that people don’t really seem to talk about a lot is that right now Sharif Finch would start opposite him in the front seven. Don’t take this as Finch slander, I actually am a huge fan of Finch and I think he could be one of the league’s best 3rd EDGEs I am just worried that trusting him in year two with his injury history is a dangerous bet.

Some people seem to think that Cameron Wake will play the majority of snaps left behind by Derrick Morgan and Brian Orakpo, but that is wrong. If he is used correctly he will have a very specific role: rushing against right tackles in pass rush situations.

He shouldn’t do anything more or less than that. Again that isn’t to diminish they player, I think Wake will be a real factor on this team defensively but if you ask him to do too much you are hurting yourself.

There are several players in the 2019 NFL Draft who should go 1st round and that should be difference makers for their teams. However, I keep finding myself giving the Titans another EDGE in the first round of mock drafts because I just don’t think there will be enough of those guys in this draft to find an impact EDGE in the 2nd round.

With free agent options dwindling, this seems like the high price target in round 1 unless a truly exceptional talent is available.
