Defensive line: 3

I don’t think the Tennessee Titans will draft defensive line in the first round for a few reasons.

The main reason is that I think there aren’t going to be many snaps to be had there for a rookie. The Dean Pees defense is one that usually takes time to learn and with two guys in front of him on guaranteed or nearly guaranteed contracts, there is no benefit to cutting them.

However, two of these players can line up at EDGE and the other is potentially the best player in this class.

The blue chip talent is obviously Quinnen Williams, who is not only athletic and productive but he is just 21 years old and won’t be 22 until late December.

To be one of the most dominant players in the country in one of the toughest conferences, all while just barely being old enough not to be called a teenager is amazing.

As for the versatile pair, I think we all know that I love what Ed Oliver can do and if you can’t have him, landing Rashan Gary is a nice replacement to have.

I think Oliver is a boarderline top-10 talent who would be a perfect fit in Tennessee, and in the tier right behind him is Gary whose biggest question mark is effort not talent.

The Titans need someone to pair next to Jurrell Casey for this line to be effective. If you don’t believe me go back and watch the Washington Redskins game late in the year where a 3rd string QB, a 33 year old Adrian Peterson and a group of backup and third string offensive linemen bullied the Tennessee front seven.

Like I said, the problem isn’t the lack of need it is the fact that EDGE, WR and IOL all have bigger holes before free agency.
