OLB Derrick Morgan

More from Titans Free Agency

As much as I hate to say it, Morgan looked downright ineffective in 2018. He struggled with injuries and only ended up with 0.5 sacks. For a player who is supposed to be one of the primary edge rushers on a team, this is unacceptable. To make matters worse, he frequently looked like he lost a step this year. Morgan has been a fantastic player with the Titans for almost a decade and has been a consistent locker room leader for the team. That said, the Titans can not afford for Morgan to be paid as a starting linebacker and edge rusher. If Morgan is to return to the Titans, it will probably be in a backup role behind Harold Landry and someone likely not on the team yet. Morgan needs to be willing to take a pay cut and see fewer snaps, but if he is willing to make these concessions, I’m sure Vrabel would love to have him back.

Verdict: Takes Team-Friendly Deal to Finish Career with Titans

These are my projections for what moves the Titans will make with their pending free agents. Which players would you like to see back in 2019? What moves would you make? Let me know in the comments section or on twitter @maxdambach.
