If the Tennessee Titans designate him as a post June 1st cut, they can gain back $4.3 million in cap space. Here is a quick list of running backs who make less than that right now who aren’t on rookie deals and the total yardage they had in the regular season:

-Mark Ingram, 815 yards (in 12 games)

-James White, 1,176 yards

-Adrian Peterson, 1,250 yards

-Dion Lewis had 917 yards

While he did do a pretty solid job in terms of vets on their second on later contract, I should mention that there were 28 running backs ahead of him on that list including 24 players on cheaper rookie contracts.

So, yea that is something they have to seriously consider going forward.

Alright with that out of the way let’s look at some free agent options.
